Jim and I were really just pew sitters before we came to Crandall United Methodist.  We would visit a big church and comfortably disappear.  No one noticed if we were out of town, no one asked us to do stuff, but also no one from church visited when our first daughter was in the NICU after her birth. 

After moving to Crandall we visited CUMC and found a friendly family that welcomed us in.  They let us sit on the pews, but they also nutured in us what our faith really was and what being a disciple really meant. 

We are involved now and in a small church there is PLENTY to do, but those opportunities are what stretch your faith.  To see God work glory through a small group of inexperienced servants is awesome.  By the way when our second daughter was born, we were showered by the love and support of CUMC.  What a big difference!
