A Church‑Wide & Community Message for Crandall UMC

“Making the SHIFT: Becoming a Beacon of Hope”

Beloved Crandall UMC Family, Friends, and Neighbors,

As we stand in this new season of ministry, we hear the call of Jesus in Matthew 25—a call to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, care for the vulnerable, and serve “the least of these.” This Scripture is not only an instruction; it is an invitation. Christ invites us to SHIFT into deeper compassion, wider community involvement, and bold, Spirit‑led service.

We believe God is leading Crandall UMC into a future where our church becomes a beacon of hope and a resource center for the surrounding community. We are stepping forward in faith to build ministries that meet real needs, strengthen families, and create spaces where all people can experience the love of God.

As part of this SHIFT, we are preparing to launch new initiatives, including:

  • A 501(c)(3) Community Food Bank

  • Expanded community events such as Trunk‑or‑Treat, Karaoke Bible Trivia, and neighborhood partnerships

  • Collaboration with local businesses like The Cotton Gin Restaurant

  • Outreach through church T‑shirts, caps, and visible presence

  • Opportunities for all to serve, lead, and grow in ministry

We move forward with confidence because we stand on the promises of God. Scripture declares, “He will never leave you nor forsake you.” This promise is our assurance that as we build, God builds with us. As we serve, God strengthens us. As we reach out, God goes before us.

And let it be known clearly and boldly: God is no respecter of persons. In Christ, there is no Jew nor Greek, no male nor female, no division of race, gender, background, or circumstance. All are welcome. All are valued. All are loved. Crandall UMC is a place where every person can find belonging, dignity, and hope.

A Prayer for Our Future

Holy and Faithful God, We thank You for calling Crandall UMC into a new season of purpose. Guide us as we make the SHIFT into ministries that reflect Your heart. Strengthen our hands to serve, our feet to go, and our voices to speak life. Make us a beacon of hope, a house of compassion, and a resource for our neighbors. Let Matthew 25 be our blueprint, and let Your promise— that You will never leave nor forsake us— be our foundation.

Bless every person, every family, and every community partner. Unite us in love. Expand our vision. Empower our witness. And let Your Spirit lead us into the future You have prepared.
